The Ulawun Volcano in Papua New Guinea erupted around 2:30pm local time on June 26th, 2019. The NASA Disasters Team has activated Tier 1 response for this event and is working with stakeholders at the Darwin Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) and the USGS Volcano Emergency Assistance Program (VEAP) to provide satellite data products in support of the event.
