Background
Emma Yates is an Associate Program Manager for the NASA Earth Science Applied Sciences Equity and Environmental Justice Program.
Emma is also a research scientist with the Bay Area Environmental Research Institute (BAERI). Since 2010, Emma has worked in the Atmospheric Sciences Branch at NASA Ames Research Center. Her work focuses on trace gas instrumentation, deployment, and analysis of atmospheric measurements. Emma's research interests include quantifying emissions, transport and impacts of greenhouse gases, and atmospheric pollutants.
Emma has a master’s degree in chemistry from the University of Manchester and a doctorate in atmospheric chemistry from the University of Bristol.
